Policies What you can expect I provide clients with a competent and professional session for each appointment, addressing the client’s specific needs for that session. I only perform services for which I am qualified and physically/emotionally able to do. I respect all clients regardless of their age, gender, race, national origin, sexual orientation, religion, and socio-economic status, state of health, personal habits, body type, and political affiliation. Privacy and confidentiality are maintained at all times. If I need to cancel an appointment, I will do so within 24 hours whenever possible. If an emergency arises and I cannot keep an appointment, I provide a 50 percent discount with a client’s next session. For non-emergency cancellations of less than 24 hours, the next session is at no charge. Personal and professional boundaries are respected at all times. Clients are draped with a sheet or towel at all times during the session. Only parts of the body being worked on are exposed at any time. The genitals are never exposed or massaged. I hold the right to refuse service. What I expect from you Be present mentally and physically (Not under the influence of Alcohol, Drugs, or Marijuana). As beneficial as massage is, it can also be harmful to you if you are under these influences when receiving a massage. There are possibilities of toxic over-dosage to occur, and this is not permissible, so for your safety and for your health, please abstain from use. Please take a warm shower or bath at least an hour or two before your session. The warm water will begin the relaxation process and increase the blood flow near the skin. This will loosen the muscles, prepare you for touch, and eliminate any body odors. Feel comfortable in telling the me what feels good and if you want extra time on particular areas of concern. This is extremely important. Please don’t feel you’ll hurt my feelings. I feel empowered and more capable when knowing your feedback and want to offer a massage tailored to your needs. Likewise, if you are not comfortable with a movement or an area of your body, please tell me. Please let me know, before the session has started, if there are any specific areas of tension or aching. Along the same lines, if you have had a recent injury, bruising, surgery, or possess a skin disorder, offer that information as well. This information is not only invaluable to me as a practitioner but also necessary to all body-worker’s offering touch therapy. If not needed, please turn off any phones, pagers etc. that may be a disturbance to you during your session. Remember, this is Your time. Do your best not to eat a large meal less than 2 hours before your session. If you need to cancel, please inform me at least 24 hours before your appointment. ©
